Delhi, Dec 3: The United States today record 3,157 deaths, its highest single-day deaths, due to COVID-19.
With the number of cases climbing each day, the health experts have warned that the situation in US will worsen in winters, as reported by CNN. The spike in the deaths came the same day the number of people hospitalised broke over 1,00,000.

The previous record of single-day COVID-19 deaths was 2,603, which was on April 15, 2020.
Since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak in US, around 113.9 million people have been infected, out of which around 2,73,836 have died.
