Chennai: In a on going case about the Durga Idol Immersion in Calcutta HC, Chief Justice of the court Rakesh Tiwary said that the state cannot impose its will just because it has got the power of the state.

The tiff between the Mamata Baneerjee Led TMC government and the BJP led to the court case. Due to clashing of the Vijaya Dashami and Muharam just one after the other this year on September 30 and October 1 respectively, the state had let out a statement of banning the immersion of Durga idols after 10pm on September 30.
