UP CM Yogi Adityanath to hold grand diwali celebration in Ayodhya

The Chief Minister to don the colours of a priest again at the Goraknath temple for five days during Navratri.

Adityanath, who reached Gorakhpur on Tuesday, will stay at the temple for five days during which he will perform special pujas daily till the ninth day of Navratri festival, Hindustan Times reported.

The chief minister will also take out ‘shobha yatra’ from the temple in Gorakhpur on Dussehra, ABP News reported.

Adityanath will conduct ‘shastra pujan’ (worship of weapons), on the eight day of Navratri, and then will perform ‘havan‘ on the ninth day, he will also hold a feast for children in the temple, the report added.

sources said the main events in Ayodhya will be organised on October 18, a day before Diwali, since Adityanath will be in Gorakhpur for Diwali pooja at Gorakhnath temple on the festival day

According to sources, the Yogi government is going to organise a main event in Ayodhya on October 18, a day before Diwali. No celebration will take place near the disputed Ram Janmabhoomi due to legal reasons.
