After a blockbuster collection of Rs 50.75 crore on day 1, it made headlines for being the biggest opening in the history of Indian cinema. Despite, Thugs of Hindostan racking a whopping earning of Rs 133.75 crore with six days, experienced a decline on Tuesday.
According to reports by trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the Hindi version of the film earned Rs. 4.35 crore, while the Tamil and Telugu versions together collected Rs. 40 lakh

With poor reviews by disappointed fans and film critics on social media, the film starring Amir Khan, Amitabh Bacchan and Fatima Sana Sheikh witnessed a 20 percent drop in viewership.

The film released with poor reviews calling the film “stale” from the beginning but it continued to have consistent popularity amongst moviegoers till recently. Trade analysts have predicted that the movie will manage to reach Rs 160 crore in its total collection.
With a budget of over Rs 250 crore, Thugs of Hindostan is the most expensive film to have come out of the Hindi film industry. Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films productions, the film released on November 8 is the second movie that Amir Khan collaborated with Acharya since Dhoom 3.
