Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Eddapadi K Palaniswami called upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi today seeking Rs 13,000 crore assistance towards relief in the wake of Cyclone Gaja.
The CM spoke to the press after meeting the CM.

A central team will be visiting the affected areas to asses the conditions said Palaniswami.
At least 45 people were killed in the storm that ensued after Cyclone Gaja hit the coast of Tamil Nadu. Around 30 thousand homes have been damaged. Crops of 88 hectare of land have been destroyed. The Government of Tamil Nadu has allocated Rs 1,000 crore in relief operations in the affected areas.
