The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Mumbai announces Amit Mookim as the President of TiE Mumbai from November 2020 onwards for a period of two years.
Amit Mookim, A business consultant, management leader is all set to join The Indus Entrepreneurs, Mumbai as its president.
TiE has been instrumental in mentoring, bankrolling and promoting over 2000 Mumbai based startups. During the pandemic itself, TiE has reached out to 26000 participants over 70 countries and hosted over 200 webinars.
They play a very important role in connecting startup initiatives with the right mentors. “I am very excited about this new role especially as many businesses are pivoting to address the new normal and there is a need for innovation, entrepreneurship,” said Amit Mookim on his appointment.
Amit’s role will be to strengthen the investor- startup relationship, curate a corporate trade network, build an agenda-driven game plan and make Mumbai the centre of the Indian startup ethos.
The team will build relationships with private equity funds, venture capitalists, angel investors, governmental bodies and educational institutions to advocate for strong startup policies in India.
“I am happy that we have an eminent and successful leader, Amit Mookim, taking over as president,” said Atul Nisar, former president, TiE Mumbai.
Mookim is an alumnus of Faculty of Management Studies Delhi and worked as Head of Healthcare for KPMG services in Mumbai.
