Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh make the perfect trio. But is SLB on another plan to create another magical project with them?
If one has to describe Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s films in a few words, this is what it would read- a period drama, with extravagant costumes and larger-than-life film set locations. from ‘ Devdas’ to ‘Sawariya’, this has been an obvious trend that has served him well, thus far.
However, a newer sure-shot formula to a successful commercial hit for him has been teaming up with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. In the past, projects like ‘Goliyo ki raasleela: Ram-Leela’, ‘Bajirao Mastaani’ and ‘Padmaavat’, the movies all of which have two elements in common: being a period drama and having the same star-cast.
So, what has contributed to the success of these films, and why is Sanjay Leela Bhansali eager to cast these two?
From Reel Life to Real Life
Ranveer and Deepika have grabbed always eyeballs with their stellar performances on every project they have teamed up for and individually as well. What possibly adds to their success quotient as an onscreen pair is their undeniable off-screen chemistry. A couple that attracts buzz and attention, will almost always appeal to viewers when they come together on the big screen.
