Prime Minister Modi’s press release announced the government’s decision to provide 27% reservation for OBCs and 10% for economically weaker sections in the All India Quota Scheme for UG and PG medical courses in the current academic year (2021-22).
This decision every year would benefit nearly 1500 OBC students in MBBS and 2500 OBC students in postgraduation. In addition to around 550 EWS students in MBBS and around 1000 EWS students in postgraduation. Totally, nearly 5,550 students will be benefitted.
Modi’s address today will mark the completion of one year of reforms under the National Education Policy 2020, there are also plans to launch multiple initiatives in the education sector.
