Fuel prices are witnessing a drop in pricing in many cities

There has been a price drop in Petrol and diesel prices in New Delhi. Petrol would be sold at Rs 78.21 a litre (a reduction of 21 paise) and Diesel would be sold at Rs 72.89 per litre (a reduction of 18 paise) on Thursday.

In Mumbai, a litre of petrol would be sold at Rs 83.72 (a reduction of Rs 0.20), while diesel would be sold at Rs 76.38 per litre (a reduction of Rs 0.19). This was a change of phase from the increase in fuel pricing, due to the inflation of Rupee, which affected the average vehicle owner. Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, with this regard, had announced a reduction of Rs 2.50 per litre on both petrol and diesel prices after curbing excise duty on the commodity by Rs 1.50 per litre on October 4, also urged respective state governments to slash the same amount at their end.
