The Australian cricket team suffered a predictable batting collapse, as Pakistan pace bowler Mohammad Abbas took three crucial wickets in a single over. With batsmen Aaron Finch, Shaun Marsh, and Mitch Marsh out of the picture, the Australian team now stands at 136/3 with 326 more runs needed to win. Both debutante Australian test cricketers Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne went out without adding a single run to the scoreboard against Abbas’ brilliant pace bowling.
Pakistan set a target of 462 runs for Australia, when they declared their second innings at 181/6. Since no test side has ever chased a score of more than 418 runs successfully in their second innings, Australia is hoping to draw the match, as both teams enter the final day of the first test match.
