More recoveries than active COVID-19 cases reported for the sixth consecutive day in India

For the sixth consecutive day, India has recorded 40,726 recoveries and 35,551 Covid-19  cases in the past 24 hours as per the reports by Times Of India. According to the Union health Ministry, the caseload of India has fallen under 4.5 per cent today. Currently, there are 4,22,943 active cases in the entire country. This has breached the 95- lakh mark on Thursday as the total number of cases stand now at  95,34,965.
Among states, Kerala recorded  5,924 recoveries until now. Delhi  has registered 5,329 daily recoveries, and Maharashtra reported 3,796.

Ten states/union territories contribute to 77.64 per cent of the new recovered cases. 526 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours out of which the states/union territories account for 79.28 per cent.
