LIVE: Modi Inaugurates Global conference on Cyber space today

New Delhi [India], Nov. 23:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate 5th Global Conference on ‘Cyber Space’, a two-day event, in the national capital today at 10 am.

The event is being organised for the first time in India. The theme of the conference is ‘Cyber for All: A Secure and Inclusive Cyberspace for Sustainable Development.’

The conference is being organised to promote the importance of inclusiveness and human rights in global cyber policy.

Representatives from around 124 countries and ministerial delegates from 31 countries. Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Ranil Wickremasinghe, will attend the conference. Over 10,000 delegates will take part in the conference.

11:00 am- PM says ‘PRAGATI’ has put back on track infrastructure projects worth billions which were stuck for very long time. PRAGATI is a unique integrating and interactive platform. The platform is aimed at addressing common man’s grievances, and simultaneously monitoring and reviewing important programmes and projects of the Government of India as well as projects flagged by State Governments.

10:40 am- PM launched Umang app which provides seamless integration with popular customer centric services like Aadhaar and Digilocker.


10:15 am- Prime Minister arrives to inaugurate the 5th Global Conference on Cyber Space
