In an interview at a Reuters Newsmaker event, Satya Nadella said that technology companies have to  create policies on how to protect the data of institution and individuals who use their services. He added that technology companies should adhere to set principles on what information to share with the government and then defend the privacy of users against government overreach even if they have to fight it in the courts.
