Men’s Hockey World Cup: India picks 34 players for National Camp

New Delhi: Hockey India named a 34-member core group for the National Camp at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneshwar, on Wednesday ahead of the World Cup next month.

The final 18-member squad will be picked by chief coach, Harendra Singh, after the camp concludes in 23 days. The men’s team warmed up in the perfect manner for the World Cup as they emerged joint winners in the Asian Champions Trophy in Muscat last weekend. They are currently placed no.5 in the world and will be training to acclimatise themselves before the tournament.

 

It will be the 14th edition of the World Cup and will be held from November 28- December 16, 2018.
