Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has arrived at North Block to meet Home Minister Rajnath Singh to discuss the appointment of Dineshwar Sharma as the interlocutor for dialogue on the state and its overall security situation.
As per reports, the meeting was scheduled to take place at 11 am in North Block and senior home ministry officials are also present.
“The two are likely to discuss the appointment of Dineshwar Sharma as well as the overall security situation in the state,” an official said.
In a sudden change of its tough stand, the Centre on October 23 announced its decision to start a dialogue process in Jammu and Kashmir and appointed Sharma, a former Intelligence Bureau (IB) Director as its representative for talks with “all” stakeholders in the troubled-state.
