MCC incorporated changes in the law and declared the improvement of the term “batter” in cricket rather than “batsman” to make the game inclusive for all. According to Jamie Cox, MCC assistant secretary, “This move recognizes the changing landscape of the game in the modern times.”The amendment was rejected in 2017, while the committee suggested this during the reversal of few laws during the period.

Former England cricket captain Clare Connor is about to become the club’s first female president.
