After a special cabinet meeting, the Spanish Prime Minister’s Office said that Spain’s government will trigger the Article 155 of the constitution on Saturday, which allows them to suspend Catalonia’s political autonomy.
The meeting was called after Catalan leader Carles Puigdemont, earlier in the day, said that he hasn’t declared independence but may do if Spanish government fails to agree to talks.
