JUST IN: Narendra Modi celebrates Diwali with troops along Line of Control (LoC) in North Kashmir.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is celebrating Diwali with the troops of 15 Corps in Gurez Sector along Line of Control (LoC) in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

As per latest reports, Modi reached Srinagar a short while back and was received by Army Chief Bipin Rawat.

Earlier in the day, Modi took to Twitter and extended Diwali greetings to the countrymen.

Meanwhile, President Ram Nath Kovind also greeted the nation on Diwali.

Narendra Modi has been celebrating Diwali with security forces every year after he took over as the prime minister of the country. In 2014, he celebrated Diwali with security forces at Siachen. In 2015, PM Modi celebrated Diwali with jawans in Amritsar at Dogra war memorial. In 2016, the prime minister celebrated Diwali with ITBP jawans in Himachal Pradesh.
