Jammu and Kashmir: Four terrorists killed in Nagrota Encounter

By Aikantik Bag: Four terrorists likely to be associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) were neutralized in an encounter with security forces in Nagrota on Thursday, according to an ANI report.
CRPF and J&K Police received inputs about suspected terrorist movement from Samba Sector. A total of 11 AK-47 rifles have been recovered.

“The encounter went on for three hours leaving two police constables injured and we have seized ammunition and grenades from the terrorists too,” says Mukesh Singh, IG, Jammu Zone.
The encounter took place near Ban toll plaza of Jammu district. During the gunfight with the terrorists, a police constable sustained injuries. Security has been tightened and the Jammu-Srinagar highway was closed. The area is being sanitized.

More than 200 terrorists have been killed in encounters in 2020. Most of the militants hail from districts of south Kashmir—Pulwama, Kulgam, Anantnag, and Shopian.
