The people and Healthcare workers of India have successfully reached a remarkable mark of reaching one billion doses by any nation in just over a span of nine months said Dr. VK Paul, Member-health, Niti Aayog.
Dr. VK Paul said that the first dose has been given to 75% of adults but 25% who are eligible to receive free vaccination are still unvaccinated.
Dr. Paul said that efforts must go forward to vaccinate those who haven’t taken the first dose.
In the last 24 hours, India reported 18,454 fresh cases while there are 1,78,831 active cases. The recovery rate is currently at 98.15%, which is the highest since the outbreak of the novel virus said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
