Ashish Pandey, the son of a former BSP MP was booked on Tuesday after he was seen in a video allegedly brandishing a gun at a couple following an argument and threatening them outside Delhi’s Hyatt Regency hotel on the night of 14th October
Gaurav Kanwar, one of the people who was threatened has narrated the entire ordeal he and his lady friend went through at Delhi’s Hyatt Regency hotel. He said that he was standing outside the ladies’ washroom at the hotel, waiting for his lady friend to come out. According to the statement, three women, supposedly accompanying Pandey, went into the washroom and started abusing Kanwar’s friend.
While he has stated that he continued to ask the hotel staff to assist, the ordeal continued even outside, in the hotel porch. “A man wearing pink pants”, Ashish Pandey walked to me and said “I will kill you”- Kanwar says in the statement. Ashish Pandey is seen in viral video clips wearing pink coloured trousers. While Kanwar requested Pandey not to shoot, the girls continued to abuse Kanwar’s friend, who was scared and in tears. He also said that the duo was scared to report the matter to the police. He has sought protection from the police.
