Haryana CM proposes state budget of over Rs. 1.7 crore

Tax revenues and non-tax revenues to be included in Budget Estimates

Haryana CM, Manohar Lal Khattar proposed a state budget of Rs. 1,77,255.99 crore for 2022-2023 in the state assembly, on Tuesday.

According to a report by the ANI, he also gave an estimated Rs. 73,000 crore to be collected as tax revenue for the current fiscal year. Khattar said that the Budget Estimates comprise tax revenues of Rs. 73, 727.50 crore and non-tax revenue of Rs. 12,205.36 crore.

The CM said that with appropriate fiscal management, the market borrowing was restricted to Rs. 30,820 crore against the limit of Rs.40,872 crore and the fiscal deficit was about 2.99% of the GSDP (Gross State Domestic Product) in the Revised Estimate of 2021-22.
