Seventh goods train derailment since August this year
Chandauli (Uttar Pradesh) (ANI): Eight wagon of goods train derailed near Chandauli station. The incident took place at around 6:40 am. according to the officials. The train was moving from Allahabad to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Junction (DDU) in Mughal Sarai.
No injuries have been reported, and restoration work is now underway, said an official.
The wagons fell onto the tracks from a height.
“Three cranes have been put into restoration work on the track. The chief safety officer, additional general manager and Senior Railway officials, including ADRM Rakesh Roshan and Commandant Ashish Mishra, have reached the spot to oversee the rescue work, said Rajesh Kumar, CPRO east central railway zone.
The Train services have been interrupted Trains on the route will either be diverted or will be arriving via Vyas Nagar to DDU, Rajesh Kumar, CPRO of the East Central Railway Zone.
This was the seventh goods train derailment since August in Uttar Pradesh.
