Kangana Ranaut welcomed the announcement of setting up the new film city near Noida. She said that the Prime Minister’s Office should try to bring many such industries together who have individual identities to make it into a huge collective Indian film industry.
People’s perception that top film industry in India is Hindi film Industry is wrong. Telugu film industry has ascended itself to the top position and now catering films to pan India in multiple languages, many hindi films being shot in Ramoji Hydrabad 1/2 https://t.co/zB6wkJg1zX

The announcement of the Film City attracted criticism from various states. Congress has alleged that is BJP’s conspiracy to take Bollywood away from Mumbai. It added that there is a possibility of threats to industrialists and film producers if they shift their base to Uttar Pradesh.
Sachin Sawant, Maharashtra Congress’s general secretary said that BJP is trying to snatch the charm of Mumbai away.
“Yogiji is meeting industrialists and producers in Mumbai for investment in UP. The BJP has been trying to create fear in Bollywood by using central investigating agencies like NCB. CM Yogi has been on the forefront to defame Maharashtra with the help of the Central government. This is a systematic attempt of reducing the importance of Mumbai, the financial capital of the country. The Thackeray government should take steps to protect the Bollywood from the conspiracy.”
Sanjay Raut, a Shiv Sena leader, on Wednesday, took a jibe at Yogi Adityanath saying it is not easy to shift Mumbai’s film industry to another place’. Blaming the UP CM for meeting filmmakers during his visit Mumbai, Raut challenged Yogi Adityanath to go to other regional film industries and interact with artists there. He added that Mumbai does not need his inputs and interruptions.
