Facebook adds human reviewers after Anti-Semitic ad scandal.

Chennai: Facebook CEO Sheryl Sandberg expressed her disgust at the findings of a ProPublica investigation report published last week. The report found that ads could be specifically targeted to self -proclaimed “Jew haters,” as well as other hateful terms.

Facebook will now add human reviewers to its advertising system in order to prevent anti-Semitic ads and pages on the network. In a post on Facebook, Sandberg added ” Hate has no place on Facebook – and as a Jew, as a mother, and as a human being, I know the damage that can come from hate.”

Facebook’s ad services were under scrutiny earlier this month when it was discovered that a Russian charged group was behind the purchase of advertising that targeted American voters. Sandberg’s post did not mention the Russian ads or the subsequent Federal investigation.
