Congress is burden to the nation: Modi at Guj rally

Ahmedabad, 29 November: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi are back on the campaigning trail today in their run up to the Gujarat elections next month.

The Somnath temple in Gujarat’s Saurashtra region was at the centre of attention with Gandhi and PM Modi attending events within 50 kilometers of each other.

The two, however, did not have a literal face-off. While Gandhi attended a ‘darshan’ at the Somnath temple, PM Modi spoke at a rally in the town of Prachi, around 20 kms away from the temple complex. The PM, however, used Gandhi’s presence in the vicinity of his rally site to launch a verbal attack on the Nehru-Gandhi family.

Patidar leader Hardik Patel, who is backing Congress in the Gujarat election, will be holding public meetings and addressing rallies in different towns.
