Kejriwal, AAP MLAs get bail in Delhi Chief Secretary assault case

Delhi Court granted bail to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and other AAP MLAs in the alleged assault case on Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash.

Bail has been granted on condition that all the accused AAP MLAs would be present for further hearings in the case. Moreover, the AAP leaders are not allowed to tamper with the evidence and will not be allowed to influence the witnesses in the matter.

The alleged assault took place on the intervening night of February 19 and 20 at Kejriwal’s residence, when Prakash was called for a meeting.

Next date for court proceedings in the case has been fixed to December 7 by the Patiala House Court. Furthermore, they have to submit a bond of Rs 50,000 to the court. All the AAP leaders cannot travel out of the country without the permission of the court.
