Breaking News: SC says farmers can continue protest but cannot keep blocking roads

The Supreme Court announced that the farmers protest can continue as they have the right to protest, but roads cannot be blocked indefinitely.

This comes after a petition filed in the top court, sought to remove protesters from the road.

The court asked the farmers’ unions to file their response to the petition within three weeks.

The Samyukt Kisan Morcha, the farmers union leading the protest, said the police are blocking the roads, not farmers.

The next hearing is scheduled for December 7.
