India hits 100-crore vaccination milestone, PM Modi says “triumph of science”

According to the government, around three-quarters of adults in the country of 1.3 billion have received atleast one dose

India crossed the 100-crore mark for the number of vaccination doses administered and leaders applauded the government for facilitating the landmark vaccination drive.

WHO Director General also congratulated PM Modi on crossing the vaccine milestone.

“Congratulations, PM Narendra Modi, the scientists, healthworkers & people of India, on your efforts to protect the vulnerable populations from COVID19 and achieve vaccine equity targets,” tweeted Tedros A. Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization.

Meanwhile, the country logged 18,454 fresh cases as of this morning.
