Ballabhgarh Case: Third Accused Apprehended From Nuh

The third accused in Nikita Tomar case identified as Arju, is arrested in Nuh by the  Faridabad police

The third accused in Balabhgarh’s “love-jihad” murder case identified as Arju, who provided country-made pistol to the main accused was arrested by Faridabad Police from Nuh.

 

 

According to the Faridabad Police, “Arju provided country-made pistol to the main accused Tausif. Arju was arrested from Nuh district after raids were conducted at dozens of places.”
The Haryana police have already arrested the main culprits – Taushif and Rehan- for allegedly killing the victim outside of her college vicinity.
Nikita Tomar , a 21-year-old woman was killed on Monday by Taushif after she refused to marry him and convert her religion.

 

This murder has led to national outrage , demanding justice for Nikita Tomar . The incident triggered protests with students and locals by blocking the road on Tuesday.

 

 

On Wednesday, Haryana’s Home Minister Anil Vij said “”I will not allow this kind of ‘dadagiri’ in the state. The accused will be punished in accordance with the law.”
Further, Vij told reporters in Ambala that “The main accused behind the killing of the college student in Ballabhgarh is related to some Congress leaders from Haryana and it was under their pressure that the victim’s family had withdrawn an earlier complaint lodged against the man in 2018,” .

The mother of the deceased told reporters that Nikita was harassed by the main accused two years ago to marry him and convert her religion. Nikita’s family even lodged a complaint against her but later it was withdrawn after the reassurance by Taushif ‘s family.
