27% OBC, 10% EWS reservation in All India Quota for medical courses

The central government has announced a 27% reservation for OBC and a 10% reservation for EWS candidates in the All India Quota for medical education for UG and PG medical and dental students.

The government of India has taken a landmark decision in providing 27% reservation for OBC(Other Backward Classes) and a 10% reservation for EWS(Economically Weaker Sections) candidates in the All India Quota for undergraduate and postgraduate medical/dental courses (MBBS / MD / MS / Diploma / BDS / MDS) from the current academic year 2021-22 onwards.

PM Narendra Modi directed the concerned ministries to facilitate an effective solution to this long pending issue. On Wednesday, the central government granted the reservation and announced it today.
This decision benefits nearly 5,550 students.
